Safari lodge on a private game reserve with mountain views
Accommodation & Rooms
The Wild Blue Lodge Safari & Spa offers bungalows, safari tents, and a honeymoon suite with a private plunge pool. Each unit has a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and bathrobes, plus a veranda with views of the bush and the Blyde mountains. The safari tent includes an outdoor shower, slipper bath, and a hot tub on the veranda overlooking roaming impala and nyala.
Dining
Breakfast is served buffet, à la carte, or continental, and dinner features a set menu prepared by Chef Mollen. The lodge has a bar, a coffee house on site, and offers wine/champagne, special diet menus, and fruits. Snack bar and packed lunches are available for guests on game drives or hikes.
Wellness & Spa
The spa and wellness centre offers outdoor massages with views over the savanna, including back, couple, foot, full body, hand, head, neck, and hot stone massages. Spa facilities and spa/wellness packages are available, and treatments are also offered in an open-air spa where monkeys play in the treetops. Guests can use the heated outdoor swimming pool with a view and shallow end, year-round.
Activities & Recreation
The lodge is set on the Ndlovumzi Nature Reserve, where guests can walk on their own to see giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Game drives and bush walks are led by guides such as Terry or Philip, and bicycle rental, bike tours, cycling, and hiking trails are offered.
